Altima 2006 IDLE RPM Fluctuation Problem
I have Nissan Altima 2006 model. one week back my car was missing at idle RPM. Once I checked the engine the air filter was found missing. i took it to mechanic who applied full can of injector cleaner to injector for cleaning. now it developed the problem of idle RPM fluctuation which is now flcutuating between 1000 to 1800 RPM. when i put my AC on it fluctuates between 1300 to 1500. but with AC the fluctuation is less frequent. my mechanic said that it will go in few weeks as the injector cleaning liquid is causing it. please help
Strange and Surprising problem with Injectors. Normally once your injector gives trouble its not a good sign. But before you conclude that the injectors are the real problem, I would suggest you to get the following checked.
1. Sparks Plugs (Wires & Contacts)
2. Fuel Filter
3. Air Idiling Pipes.
Once you conclude these are fine, i would recommend you to get your checked in Nissan. 2006 Model will still have a warraty. I would recommend NISSAN. Other garages will roast your pocket for the money and will do a s & I T job. Mind it Injectors of your car is just like Heart of the Human Body.
Dont use Fuel Cleaners.. its all crap and does nothing seriously.
kelly do you know any good mechanic who can fix this problem completely. I am avoiding service center because they charge more than the market rate
fuel injector cleaner will not sort out the problem.....
you ill have to clean the entire air intake system with mechanic or at nissan services section.
