Avoid and Beware of "German Solution Car Checking"

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'll try to summarize my experience as much as possible, however, to sum up, I strongly advice you to avoid checking a car (whether buying or selling) at the shop named "German Solution Car Checking" (GSCC) in Salwa Road.

I wanted to sell my Nissan car and I've got a call from a buyer on the same day I posted the ADV. By the way, I'm the first owner of the car and I had no any single accident with the car since purchasing it from Nissan (thanks to God). We settled on a final price and the guy told me to bring the car to GSCC for inspection. I am not a judgmental person, however, the time I've met the guy and I felt that I don't want to sell the car to him even for the agreed price which was very good for me. Anyway, I recognized that the guy knows the staff of GSCC very well and he was certain that I'm not a car expert (which is true). So after completing the inspection, the guy was talking to one of the staff and all of a sudden they came to me and the inspector told me that the car had an accident. From this point, I knew that something fishy is going on and my negative feelings towards the guy was correct. So, I told him "impossible" as I'm the first owner and I'm 100% sure that the car is accident free. He told me, no the car had an accident from the front and the chassis is not in a good condition from the right side, also the front bumper was changed and the current one is not the original. SERIOUSLY...ARE U KIDDING ME...I mean, u can easily check the chassis number through Metrash application and you will not find any accident history...So, after arguing, the buyer told me that he can take the car at half of the agreed price (since the chassis is the most important part in the car) plus extra few thousands QR (2 or 3 thousands) as a generous act from him since I'm a victim of an unknown accident....REALLY...oooh man that's so kind of you...okay no sale for you...bye bye...and I left them...

As I told you ladies and gentlemen, I'm sure that I've not done any accident with the car and I have not leave the car to anyone else to drive. I went home disappointed, and I became suspicious that maybe while leaving the car at one of my periodical service with Nissan center, that MAYBE one of the workers took the car and rammed it and changed the bumper without reporting any accident. Actually, that was a stupid thought from me, as I doubt that Nissan would risk their reputation to do something like that. So I decided to take the car next day for inspection at any other inspection shop than GSCC at my own cost. As expected, the car was in a perfect condition thanks to God.

Few days later, another buyer came to me and we agreed on a price similar to the first one. I was intending to tell him the story about GSCC to be honest with him, however, I didn't since he recommended a third inspection shop. So, I said to myself why do I tell him and make him feel worried...let him take the car to any inspection shop he choose and upon the results he can decide. So we took the car and inspect it and again no any problem with the car and the buyer was satisfied and bought the car.

So why do GSCC do these dirty work ?? the answer in my opinion is to get extra sum of money either from the seller or the buyer. In other words, those people can give u an excellent condition results for the car (which may be really in a bad condition) if you want to increase the car price as a seller OR can give u a bad condition results for the car (which may be really in an excellent or good condition) if you want to decrease the car price as a buyer. For those who are honest and have no intention of doing a fraud action, the GSCC will give them an accurate result.

There are similar posts in QL regarding GSCC fishy actions. Such posts, goes back from 2009 and 2012 or 2013...so now we are in 2016 and I'm updating you that those people in GSCC are still on the dirty track...so please be careful ladies and gentlemen...

Have a good day :)

There a bunch of phonies with no mechanical background, even if the car has zero miles, they still will say so and so is wrong with the car, just so it seems they actually performed there duties, DONT GO TO ANY INSPECTION EXCEPT THE SHOWROOM!! i know its more money but it is what it is.

Yes, the best action is to report the matter to consumer protection department in the Ministry of Economy and Trade, who would take action against them.

German Center is old and surrounded by hundreds of car showrooms, who tends to create such deals by way of their old contacts with the staff of German Center. Any buyer or seller, should be avoided if he continues to insist on going to German Car Checking Center. But remember, there are others too, though on lesser scale, who are into this activity, because there is no control from any regulatory authority on them.

For such cases (doubtful), take a photo with your cellphone for the inspection report, and report it to consumer protection, they will take the necessary action against them.

the point is...avoid going to them, or avoid selling your cars to those guy who insists to take your car to such unfair inspection centers. This is the second time in a last couple of days that someone has really raised an issue with the same center. I hope a surprise check by the ministry would be coming to them soon.
