car accident claim lawyer in doha?

Dear friends,

I found myself in quite an unpleasant predicament and wonder if anyone can advise.

My car was stolen, driven around, hit several other cars and abandoned.

It has 3rd party insurance coverage (its 6 years old).

Police did not find the bastard who stole my car. (And didn't try very hard either:( .

And now they want me to pay the damages for all other cars that were hit.

My question is, shouldn't my 3rd party insurance be paying for the damage of other cars?

Police has a proof that I did not drive my car, i have witnesses, I was else where..

Plus most of damaged cars have full insurance.

Would appreciate if anyone could recommend a lawyer who specialises in this sort of thing. As it seems very chaotic here in Qatar. My insurance company is Islamic insurance.

I want to speak to a competent lawyer before paying out all the damages.

Many thanks in advance.

Dear... before commenting about your worries have a few question to ask..

1. Have you lodge any complaint to the police immediately after the theft?

2. Was it before the series of accidents occured?

If you are saying yes to 1, you have all rights to avoid paying the penalties.

If you are saying NO to 2, you must face all legal actions.

And its said witness, it has less importance if its your friend or husband. So, need to know more about the incident like

1. when did you find it- your car is stolen (time)

2. Immediate action taken against it (time)

3. When did you know that the car is being abandoned somewhere (time gap)

4. How did you know it found in a place (time gap)

5. Witness- What did he/she saw? (report)

I believe it may not be 100% true statements. Some parts missing in this story. Either may be given to your friend, co-worker or some one you believes for a drive. Or it may be a part of revenge... Or what else?

Third party covers fire and THEFT, so there is absolutely no need to pay anything out. Ask someone who can speak Arabic to go down to the Islamic insurance company with you (with the police report) and see what they have to say.

salam dear lady ,

i will answer all your questions as follow :

1- since your car is stoled by some one eles , and you already did police report for that , so you don't have any resposabilty ...don't worry for any action from police .

2- if your 3ed party insurance still not expeired , so it will cover the accidents for other cars .

3- about the other cars have full insurance , this is not the subject , because the full insurance in Qatar there is fees in case of any accident , sometimes 30 % from the total amount , so every insurance company will care about them money .

4- you don't need any lawyer to talk with , just wait , you will never pay anything , its just a matter of time .

5- i think the police just ask you to sign a paper ( promisery letter ) that you should repair the cars , this paper its just proceedger .

please call me i will help you more , my name is hassan , 44664048
