Car insurance claim

Hi, Today I got my car hit by another car came from the back. After the accident I went with the driver of that car tp the traffic police and got the police report. Since I didn't had time I couldn't go to the insurance at that time. The police report is with me. My car is fully insured. I'm not sure to claim for the repairs to which insurance should I go to (Mine or the other person's). However I don't know the insurance company of that car.

Please advise.

Go to your Insurance Company and show them the Police Report. They will then open a file for you, take damage photos etc. If your car is less than a year old, you will be allowed to have your car repaired in the company where you bought your car. Other than that, you can choose a garage or car repair shop where you can have it done. Hope this helped.

If the other driver is at fault then his insurance pays. If he is not insured (and believe me, it happens) then your insurance will pay and you will have to cover the deductible.

1) check with your insurance company. some companies help their clients.

2) the name of the other person's insurance company is written on the police report. get it read by someone who knows how to read Arabic.
