Car paint job - advice needed

I've got some minor scratches on the front and rear bumpers of my car (2006 model), with small patches where the paint is coming off, and would like to get them painted over before my registration renewal which is due in a couple of weeks. I've heard you need a document from the traffic police to get such paint jobs done. Is this true? Scratches weren't caused in an accident, I'm assuming they were done while the car was parked.

atif is right ... no garage will accept ur car without that paper but come on it's not a big fuss .. u just pay 7 riyals for stamp and pay ur "Violations" if any .. and that's it and u will get it easily ... in less than half an hour ..

Hassan, what ever is the reason but sadly u have to get NOC from POLICE STATION to get them repaired. THIS IS THE LAW here
