Can anybody help me find out if my expired UAE driving license can convert to Qatar driving license?

Procedure? Paper works? Test?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Brit, That is possible let the technology people come up with such sophisticated instruments & equipment which should tell even from from far away ..... ah this is Molten Metal of QL ............ let this soul pass through .... nationality , blood group , date of birth , date of marriage , number of current GFs etc should be fed in an inter. data for all of us .... PP should not have an expiry date untill we say a final bye .... Tue, 13.10.2015, 10.51 hrs

Brit, The guy has a card showing his approved skill .... ......... what he need is a traffic office work ..... he should not be taken out on the Doha roads just for changing a set of dates on a new piece of plastic ...... suppose he is in UAE what is he required to do ...{ not to apprear for a retest } ... present his valid Visa / Id ...... that's all ...... so same here ....... because his valid UAE visa is not a requirement for converting his UAE approved doc { driving lic. } so he is qualified to get a new Qatar Driving Lic by seeing his approved skill not the dates ...... which can be done in a minute if he goes to UAE and gets his new visa / Id ...... so he is a genuine candidate with really approved skill proof ..... what else we need from him ? ......... I am so sure he must approach high traffic official and get a smooth convertion of his driving lic in a matter of 15 - 20 minutes ...... Rules also need to make citizens' life easy ... not to put them on long un-necessary docs / formalities route ........ let this guy concentrate on a productive path .... let him work at his office / work site & earn some profit for his sponsor ......... a short life must be used for movign forward not going into circles ............... Tap go to the highest officer ......... .... Tue, 13.10.2015, 07.59 hrs

Tap, Talk to the seniors of a driving school ...... they will get you to road test direct .......... you will get short cut because you have the skill with you ....... whatever expired is a piece of plastic ............ If you check with your HR manager he may guide even better by sending you to the top traffic officer's office who may recommend you express transfer / change by seing your Emirates lic .... as if nothing is wrong ......... We understand that you are fully qualified to drive your car here in Qatar without going to take unwanted repeat test ... saving police's & your time ... this way you will be reducing undesired training / test cars on Doha roads .... less jams ........ less pollution ........ etc ........... It's expired. So , no!

Question: Would you be able to use an expired license in your home country ?
