How is the performance of European Cars

European Cars mean not Ferrari, Rolls Royce or something like that.
I heard that they are long lasting with compare to Japanese like TOYOTA, NISSAN etc and their spare parts and maintenance is also not that costly.!!!
the body shell of japanese saloon cars are not strong.. they cant get thorugh safery standards .. but same is quite good in european cars...
by the way, i was a design engineer for Toyota, Lexus, Mitsubishi and Daihatsu in Japan that's why i know a lot in a cars. Knowing all of these, i must know the competitors - European, American and other International brands so for me to compare and tests..
European cars i know are :Alfa, Romeo, Alpina, Aston Martin,Audi, Bentley, BMW, Citroën, Dacia, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford,Jaguar, Lada, Lamborghini,Lancia, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Morgan,Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rolls Royce, Saab, Seat, Škoda, Smart, TVR, Volkswagen & Volvo
as far as cars' is concern, for me, maintenance depends on how we use the car and how we take care.
still i prefer Japanese cars (Toyota, Lexus & Honda), not because i am a Japanese but because i know how it was meticulously manufactured, its maintenance, widely available spare parts and assistance.
