The Finn, yes, I know a guy that does the R34 conversions. It takes about 1 month, and cost is very reasonable. Less than 5000 usd. He was working on a sexy yellow one when i talked to him a couple weeks ago. I can get his number if you are interested.
There is no real 'oh this rule doesnt allow it' i think but you definitely should consider these different fators:
---> Right hand drive car ???? this country has left had drive cars...
--->Cars are built to suit different countries for their temperature and etc...
---> reselling value of a second hand car from another country other than dubai??? I wouldnt buy a car exported specially for the gulf...
---> You will not save any money this way with the steering wheel conversion and all
---> Because of the british specification the 4cylinder honda is weaker in britain, with about 10hp missing but here you will have the more performant one, even if the looks are different
I would like to know also that is it possible to register right hand drive vehicle in Qatar or does it have to be converteed to LHD. Wouldn't mind bringing a R34 Skyline..
To be perfectly honest, I'd sell it or leave it at home and buy out here. Cars are much cheaper than UK and right hand drive will leave you in an accident after day 1.

Ignore my answer above!
Cars have to be LHD and 5 years or less to be allowed in.
So you won't be able to bring in your cars.
Cars have to be RHD and less than 5 years old to be imported. Guess that rules it out.
