Is it possible to get history on used cars?
I'm considering buying a used car and would like to hear from others that have done the same. Who on here has bought a used car from a private seller? Is there any way to verify whether or not a car has been in an accident and/or if there is a lien against the vehicle (e.g. an outstanding bank loan)?
Any car that make an accident ... owner should get a paper from traffic department to fix it in any garage ..
easily u can go to traffic department and tell them that u r buying a car and ask them if it has been into accidents before or not (or if there is any accident report been issued for this car)... u should give them the plate no. (unless the plate number was changed)
Other than that .. as mentioned above .. if u take it to any garage he can easily identify if the car been in accident or not ..
As for bank loans, it can't be ever transfered to you if it's still having outstanding installments .. unless transfereing the loan to u with ur approval and signature and .. no way there is any outstanding on it ..
computer checking is a farce,,,
If it has been regularly serviced at the Dealer then the Dealer can give you full history on service and work done to the car. It is impossible if it is not been regualarly serviced with the dealer.
Pegger recently i bought a Honda civic from a private seller. Its pretty good. But there is no procedure to find the accident record of vehicle. Just go to a garage and they will told you after examine the car. anyway Best of Luck
You can take the car to slawa road or industrial area for computer checking. They can easily find that there is anything wrong . You can get checked with persons in the workshop also. they can easily rule out if the car is met accident and damaged. Even u can get the service history from the current owner and can approch the service center ,so they will give you some details. Regarding bank loan. The current owner to clear or to handover the existing loan before transfering the ownership.
Hope that this may help you
