Renault Experience

Folks,
I was gettig interested in buying a Renault car. Some people told me that these European cars's AC cannot survive the heat of Middle East region and does not give the expected performance.
I need feedback from users if there are any. Not only Renault, but please provide your comments if you are a VOLVO user.

Thanks.

Thanks for your comments. One is in favor and one against. Personally I drove Renault back in 2008 in Malaysia and was very pleased with it. Further, the salesman here told me that since 2008, Renault has made significant changes to improve the AC performance and now, the AC unit works independently without consuming engine power.

This is for sure that resale is bad. My intention is to get driving pleasure out of it for 3 to 4 years. I think during this time, I'll consume it's worth.

Anyway, more comments welcome.

I would not encourage you to have a Renault car in Doha. I have a Renault Meggane and let me tell you that it is not worth it for the following reasons:

1. Spare parts : very expensive

2. You are right AC is not strong enough

3.Most people [if not all] do not know about these cars [not even how to replace a bulb!], you have to go to Renault, although the service is good but the prices are sky high

4. Very difficult to sell the car in Doha

i have a renault safrane 2009. v6 2300cc full option and i can tell you it is awsome.

strong car, luxurious, economic and very fast service :)

the only negative point is the re sell value which is very poor.

the new safrane 2011 is more beautiful and stronger 3500 cc v6

volvo cars are expensive :)
