Volkwagen Bora car Bonnet closing problem

Does anyone else ever experienced the problem in closing the volkswagen car bonnet? I bought this car two weeks back (VW bora), yesterday I opened the bonnet to check the water level and after filling for water I tried to close the bonnet in the usual way 'drop and press it a little" but it didn't work. those who own Volkswagen may be able to share their experience coz it has a specialized latch hood opening/closing mechanism (which I assume is a pathetic mechanism, it should be simple rather than complicated) I also went to a workshop but even they were unable to close it, now I called to vw dealer and they said their ramadan timings are till 1 pm, so I m stuck till the weekened:( meanwhile if any of u have an idea about this problem plz share. anyone???
