Went with my beautiful wife last night to celebrate her Hindu festival. I must say I was inpressed - glad we booked in advance because it was busy. The place itself is unassuming but you knew you were eating in an above average restaurant at all times. Staff were courteous and attentive at all times, very efficient without being overnearing - nice balance!! The menu I found to be a little limited on the Lamb and Chicken front, but if you are a veggie then Chingari is a good option for you. We took starter of chops and chicken pieces - my wife took the Lamb Curry and I took a chicken dish - no complaints - extremely tasty faire and very well presented - portion size was juust about right as well in that both of us were stuffed at the end of the meal. Booze prices are excessive - so whats new!! At the end of the evening I paid QR400 and I didnt feel particulary hard done by. We have eaten in a lot of Indian outlets in the town - what sets Chingari apart is the quality of the food and the intensity of the various flavours.
