Have you tried Rawnaq on Airport road. They have a lot of art supplies there too and very reasonable prices.

Try importing from www.dickblick.com  they ship to Qatar.  You can also try the well stocked art store at the Souk Waqif Art Center but the canvasess are the thinner type I think? Great paints though (Sennelier from France) probably the best oil paints around.

I think Colour Note on Mirgab street they are near Pearl Divers near to the C ring if you come off of C ring they are like a block down on the right hand side, they have lots of art supplies. Good Luck

Have a look in Ibn something-or-other between MacDonalds and Burger King near Burger King roundabout. It's the large shop with pictures of school bags covering all of the windows. They have lots of art and craft stuff downstairs.
