Bad Service
I purchased a pair of S19 Jeans, 250 QAR, from Pull and Bear, Vilagio. This is the third similar pair (different shades of blue) I have purchased due to the design of the jean, fitting perfectly with my type of build. The last pair I purchased on the 13-12-2007. The first day I fitted them on and bent down, they tore. The tear was not on the seam, but next to it, which indicates a flaw in the fabric. When I returned them today, 17/12/2007, to the store, with the receipt, I was told they could not assist me and insinuated that I had sat on something that could have damaged the fabric. I have spent a considerable amount of money at this store over the last couple of months and am rather disappointed at the level of customer service, commitment and the prospect of future business they portrait. It’s as though they are doing you a great favour attending to you as a customer. Don’t they realize that should this comment affect one potential customer, they would forfeit more money than just exchanging this item for me, OR DONT THEY CARE?
So all I can advise is that you clarify any return policy this store has before making any purchase.
NB. My first choice would have been to speak to the stores top management, before posting this comment, as I believe any self respecting business man would have addressed this issue in a more professional manner. Unfortunately the only contact I had was with this, which I perceive a very junior and unprofessional store manager
Customer service has a long to way to go. It seems that the management is least bit concerned, but the local people I've met have been wonderful.
If Qatar is going to be a major tourist destination then this mentality should change.
*The happiest people on this planet are not those who live on their own terms but are those who change their terms for the ones whom they love..*
did u say.. the jeans tore when u sat down..?? how is it possible..??
Who said that Pull and bear are Suck ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I buy most of my clothes from that shop. i used it for long time and till now it's still in good condition.....
On the more positive side, while the customer service may be lacking, the local people I've met have been wonderful. I'm visiting Doha on my holiday, and everyone here has been so helpful and kind. Aside from the traffic, which will subside when D ring opens (hopefully!), I really like it here.
Unfortunately customer service has a long to way to go here. If you are coming from the US then in the case of banks you will experience going from the best customer service to the worst. If Qatar is going to be a major tourist destination then the mentality will have to change.
the latter would be the only way you can get things done out here at such time .. go in to the store .. and i am sure it shall be nice and crowded at this time and make sure everyone hears u loud and clear about how bad the quality is and how they refuse to exchange it for you .. am sure they will get the message ..
life goes on ..
You're right, maybe I should have shouted a bit and got my way, but I will post my message on every forum and site that I can and that will be more detrimental to then financially than just getting a new pair of jeans or a refund.
On the other hand, we should be living in a semi civilized world where aggregated aggression shouldn't have to be resorted to, to get results.
well...sorry but i dont find this issue in pull and bear as the same happen to me with my new shoes when i went to return it he said i tore it but as i said that how did i tire it when i didnot wear it...and i started to argue with him and atlast he gave me a new pair of shoes..
this people need someone hard on there shoulders
then they will know how to speak to customer
I find it the same everywhere in this country. The few times when the customer service has actually been good have been the exception. I end up giving things away because I can not return them for a refund. If the store has nothing else I want, then I don't want the exchange. Case in point---bought a WII game for my child in Landmark mall. On his birthday he opened it, put it in the console and found it incompatible with our system we bought in the states. No Refund and the exchange won't help me since they only have PAL stuff in the store. So I am out the money.
