i seem to have blew up my charger for my 15" macbook pro, i know that because, it was not working even it was correctly plugged it, when i took it out of the socket and plugged it in again, i heard a crackle, and a blue light from the white square (heaviest part in the whole charger the actualy powersupply), and it whenr completely dead....i was wondering is it a charger issue, or is my macbookpro batter at risk also...and where on earth can i get a new charger for my mbp...i tried virgin and then dont have ?

any help will be great

ps: any one know of the prices of those things ?

that day i blew up 2 bulbs (shorted when i  turned them on) and then minutes later i realised the battery is not working, and then that shorted out as well, i think its somewhat related....even though i did not go for the cheap extension cords, i thought might as well pay more for my extension cords so that problems like this dont happen....

I guess its the power adapter thats damaged. What's wrong with the electricity in your house? I have no problems with electricity. The adapters are delicate and have problems if they are dropped.

will check it out, the thing is my macbook pro is brand new, i have been using it for two months only, i just hope the damage is restricted to the charger and not the power supply of the portable....i have been using apple portables for about 7 years and apple computers in general since i was 6, this is the first time this has happened to me....i blame the !#@$^% electricity in my house.....

Try Almana's Apple store at Rayyan Road. I purchased one a few months back from Dubai for 375 Qr.
