Can anyone tell me where there's a hardware/DIY shop in Doha?

be prepared to drive around and drive around and drive around. As with groceries, if you see something, grab it - next visit it might not be there.

I spent several months trying to find all the parts to put in a garden watering system. Every saturday I made the rounds hoping that the stores would have what I needed - the last part took forever to find!

Be prepared to hear a lot of, "it's on order, here next week." Staff don't want to be promise something they probably can't deliver on, so they try to be nice about it.

I concure. A warehouse style hardware store could do big business here. What exactly are you looking for?

why? The answer is staring right at your face. Carrefour has a good selection of hardware items. Mansoora domasco is yet another place for a walk-in hardware shopping.

There isn't one! Well, no B&Q type place, however if you go to Najma behind Gulf Cinema there's a shed load of little hardware shops there

Not any good ones at all

they are all hole-in-the-wall type variety. The best places to go are on B-ring road where it intersects with airport road (Next to Oasis used car lot).
