ive been looking everywhere to find chi and sing stuff like fried tofu puffs and laksa paste...help!!!

Sorry Ladies and Gents, I know I am off topic but a little desperate.

I am a Singaporean who might be relocating to Doha, so trying very hard to connect with Malaysians or Singaporeans who can give me some advise about life in Doha.

Need to try to weigh the circumstances, would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

catty.tay hi there weather here in the gulf country isnt that bad after all,hmmm during summer time its really freakin hot,but still tolerable though,i used really high spf to protect my skin even during at night ;) ,if i were you i would bring lots of paste what ever it is that is hard to find here,but you will mostly likely find some asian things here im not sure though!welcome to qatar!

Caty.tay yes your right,because when you reach in doha and stayed for 2-3 moths you will hate chicken...you can bring the paste for cooking chicken rice here in doha and make your own chicken rice..and share some paste for me..ohh now im starting to miss it again.let me know if u bring some i will contact you,tnx in advance!

Hi,

Understand that the weather is very hot in qatar. Can anyone advise me on how to get use on the hot weather and it is bearable or it is hot until cannot even go out of the house...:)

Hi Princessvillagio, I am a singaporean and current in singapore but will be locating to qatar with my husband in July. I think I should eat more chicken rice before going to qatar. :)

im a malaysian..sri kebaya rest in souq waqif sucks...its frozen food..plz go to lagenda rest in holiday villa..they hav good mee kari..nasi lemak,radish cake,nasi goreng kampung with sambal belacan n more...n u can get good chinese food in chopstick restaurant in holiday villa..its a must try..n for tofu puffs..u can go to "kedai jakarta"..its there..n also tofu..its nice..n for home made if u want to order for parties..ive got a fren doing it..plz add loagies ish and luxury cakes qatar for yummy n delicious cakes..

shariffah thanks!ill take note of that!thank you...ive been to carrefour and found curry laksa,hmm i dunno if it will work,i also bought the ingredients i found here in the inet,ill make my homemade laksa paste,wish me luck. ;)

go to souq waqif, there is Malaysia restaurant. maybe they will have d tofu puffs. they have nice laksa n curry puffs! ; ) d placa is just oppst al mourjan restaurant.

Im singaporean.. n the only place i will go to find my local food is at souq waqif, Malaysian restaurant. They have almost everything there.. But im looking for any other restaurant that have Singapore food too.. where?

You can try most supermarkets.Try Souq Waqif as well.
