I thot so in the beginning due to Qatar being a muslim state but now I'm not so sure. Are there any local regulations that require all restaurants must serve halal food only?
It is strongly assumed but one has to be carefull as much as he can.
Answering to the WHAT is HALAAL
1]Halal in terms of Meat means
A)Allowed animals (Cow, Buffalo, Sheep, Lamb, Goat Camel, Chicken and perhaps some few more if i have missed)
B)The said should be slaughtered the Sharia way(*) and with Islamic Recitation (BismilLah wo Allah O Akbar).
(*) Sharia way: The cutting of the Vein in the middle inner neck and wait till blood flow out and then start the process (de skining and chopping cutting etc).
Note: The above animals if slaughtered WITHOUT the above mentioned process (Islamic recitation and Sharia way shall be deemed Non Halaal) or Haram.
2]Confectionary and bakery items, the elements like cheese/butter has to be from halaal sources (animals) and process of preparing and ingrediants....e.g Animal rennet should come from halaal way and etc
This is the best explaination i can assist with in this timeline and blog.
Hope this helps
Swine/Pork/Pig: Is HARAM regardless of the process of slaughter etc.
Halal in arabic means permitted, Halal means that the chicken/beef has been slaughtered in the islamic way.
So Halal are the guidelines for how to kill and prepare meat in Islam, the way has been proven in the recent days that the animal does suffer from the least pain, as sudden and quick haemorrhage, which assure quick loss of blood pressure so the brain is instantaneously starved of blood and there is no time for the animal to start feeling any pain.
This is the most humane way possible, and even it is the healthier for humans.
Resturants and foos related outlets are falling under strict roles & monitoring.
and in case a violation is been caught, the resturant will really have a very hard time. some times can be permenant closer of business.
i personaly dought if any owner will risk him self and his shop to such sever harm.
In the same time you can never know how mean & greedy a person can be in order to collect more money weather by Halal or cheating.
Just would advice you, say ( By the name of God ) & try to smell the food before you start eating :) and if you got any troubles dont ever leen on not reporting the outlet.
Well honestly not everything is halal..even tho it should be. I mean for us(family), usually we wouldnt buy frozen products(chicken etc) coz apparently some of them arent halal. So we end up buying the live ones and get it slaughtered infront of us in the proper way. AS for the restaurants, all i can say is nothing is guaranteed so ur pretty much taking your chance.
