While Qatar is putting up giant-sized teddy bears and other icons around the country, the biggest shopping cart in the country has been torn down.

The trolley initially signified that Hyatt Plaza hosted one of Qatar’s largest supermarkets, but not anymore.

Giant Stores was replaced last year with French hypermarket chain Géant - but the mall is now more than just a grocery store stop.

“The icon doesn’t work anymore. Something new is required,” said Firoz Moideen, Hyatt Plaza's general manager.
