Does anyone know where i can get a small round halogen bulb from?
I have tried supermarkets but no luck.

I'm sure I've seen them in Dasman Centre, if not there's a lighting shop on Airport road just before it becomes Grand Hamad.

If you want for cars then you should try checking in Nasser Fakhroo & Sons Company besides the Nasser Bin Khalid Used Cars Showroom besides Old Q-Tel (almost near to the renovating Doha Petrol Station near to the bend road)... They are the wholesalers for such bulbs and you will get it for cheap also (original stuff).... check it out..

you get it from Car Accessories shops, where else ?

Salwa Road or B-Ring road from Crazy signals are plenty of shops
