How much is a notebook compared to Europe?

Hello guys,

I'm currently looking for a new business notebook. I'm not in Qatar yet and wonder where the better place to buy is.

The one I'm looking for is a HP Elitebook 2530p. How much is that in Qatar, is it available at all and how difficult is it to get a US keyboard and English language Windows for it?

Ay'up love, Sunflower Girl, saw the title, sorry didn't read the content, I think you will get a decent notebook in any good stationers for around QR10. Europe would cost you Billions love, it is one of the most advanced continents in the world - If you have got the money go for Europe everytime love.

Hope this helps you love, let me know how you get on.

since your choice is business series laptops...

and your choice of brand is HP...

no else HP models you could find out here better except DV series... or if you could find out one other HP models aside from DV family... those would probably be outmoded and rubbish...

HP Dv family ranges from QR3200+ up to QR5800+, with varying prices depending on each parts and pheripherals additions...

That's £300, so yes, more expensive. And you need to check it's got Windows XP and not the other rubbish operating system (whose name escapes me)

I just bought a little pink Acer notebook in Tesco in the UK for £240. Definitely couldn't get it for that price here, even if they had one!

I wouldn't buy here, buy in your own country, ive not seen any electronics bargains for ages. The global crisis is making prices more competitive in countries that are affected by it. People still have strong buying power in middle east so prices stay high.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Also for the Jarir Bookstore website. I tried to find computer shops in Qatar but wasn't particularly successful.

It looks like might be lucky if I wanted a really big gaming computer but at least jarir's has no computer with 12" screen. Good, then it's probably better anyway to buy one here.

i think it will be more expensive here and u might not be able to have specific models here.

All laptops here have english windows and US keyboard so not a big deal either
