contact apple, ask them you need it unlocked, there is a fee for the same. once you have paid that fee, they will unlock it for you...

If you will buy a phone, the first thing to consider is the unlock features... is this the first time to buy a phone? Just use it as ordinary multimedia player, then buy cheap phone locally for you it is more worth and functional for you than the iphone 4s that you brought here, or go to US and use that phone :)) You can do a call and text in ordinary Qtr 80 riyals phone compare to that expensive phone u just bought, here in Qatar. LOL or wait months or years to release the unlocking software!!! you choose the options.

Ron pay attention: You cannot unlock the phone as of now.

However if you visit the apple store you can see they sell unlocked phones directly from the company at a much higher price.

The phone is locked with at & t for software ill use itunes , so how do i unlock the phone!

I'm pretty sure he can as the phone does not work "technically" and the buyer can lodge a complaint in the police about it.

That being said its a long shot but he can always try.

There is no unlocking softwares at the moment for iphone 4S & all softwares apps..supplied by iTunes only & of course you've to pay for full version :)

man i thought i already told you what to do. Foolish people deserve to be ripped off anyways, your fault for not checking the phone in the first place.

Or just contact the seller again and tell him you want to return the phone back.

check with Vodafone as they r the distributor for iPhones in Qatar..... they may help u

currently there is no unlock available for iphone 4s..just wait and enjoy your ipod :)

U have to wait till it's unlock is out it might take 2-3 months or more.

how come you didnt check it prior paying? I think in sofitel, there might be someone who can unlock your phone.

the mobile shops on Al Nasr street or Matar Commercial Street.

Look for Al Diwan Mobiles (Anis) on Matar Commercial St. Sometime they are successful in unlocking the phone.
