@raminh..the Indian tabla is totally different from the arabic instrument..the Indian tabla is made up of a set of 2 pieces,while the arabic one is a single piece..just the name is the same..the sound produced and way its played is totally different..

@santitor,contact the ICC(indian cultural centre)..they hold classical music classes (i think)etc..maybe they could guide you..however,i dont think u'll find one on sale here in any instrument shop,unless somebody who plays it is selling one..

i dnt think u can buy tabla hir in qatar. if u r soo interested, i can introduce u som tabla teachers to u. may b they can help u in this.
the tabla mr. Raminho is talking abt is somthin lik Derbake, its an arabic percussion instrument.
