I want a send a laptop to a friend in India.How much will it cost?
Basically the laptops here are much cheaper than the ones available in Qatar. We have much more options too. I want to send a brand new laptop to a friend in India and I would like to know how much extra would I have to pay to do that.
The Custom charges and shipping charges. I m kinda new to this so I have no clue about this

u check any carrefour outlet they have wonderful cute models for below 20000, shipping charge cost u 100qr only................

The cheapest would be to find someone willing to carry the laptop for you. If carrying it in person, you are allowed to carry one laptop without paying any duty.
If it is shipped, there will be a 10% duty on the item. At least that used to be the case until a year ago, for all electronic items.
Go to any Air Cargo offices, read the news paper you will get plenty. Since it is a laptop you will have to pay a minimum charge (Apprximately QR.100, then you have declare the value of the Laptop and pay 10% as custom duty, thats all they will deliver to your friends hand.
