Hello .. My boyfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary on Saturday and we are looking for a place to celebrate. We came to a conclusion that we want to celebrate it at La Cigale, but we would like to know any recommendations on which restaurant to choose from for this special occasion. Any help?

Anybody who reads this, spread the word: La Cigale is the worst hotel in Doha on many levels but most importantly food quality!!!

you pay equal to Ritz & 4 Seasons, but get grocery shop level food. you would probably get better quality food at KFC (ya...that much)

service is very snob (Lebanese snob).

somebody told me that BLT Sandwich (not for Muslims) was on the menu there but i've not seen it. I found it like any other large hotel, pricey, nvg food but wonderful surroundings even though the TV volume in the Bar was far too high one one occaion even though no one was watching!

For an authentic Doha experience try the Sara Restaurant off B Ring Road, near Jaidah Flyover, not sophisticated but good south asian food at a fraction of the overpriced hotel costs.

Just curious, why La Cigale?

Have been there only once, for Friday brunch. Probably will never go back.

Depends on your budget..I hate the Chingari as there is only one dish that has sauce and that is the Mutton ROGAN jOSH and it feels like you are eating at a coffee table.

The Bombay Balti is better.

There are no fantastic restaurants in Doha, they are above average but I have been dissapointed in all.

Why not do something at home? Better there than be ripped off.

Tell La Cigale to take their 200 QR cover charge at the Piano bar and stick it you know where.
