Long Live Malabar door to door service

Hi Guys,

This is a second installment to my list of positive experiences with Qatar business.

If you remember I had posted a topic asking for packaging material for my household items.

Well those of you, who live around Al-Khor, may know these freight forwarders across KFC.

Anyhow, trying not to go on their name...I very hesitantly thought I best to approach them as there was no other way around my dilemma, and the recently bought items from IKEA Dubai were collecting dust.

So finding their main entrance through the streets of alkhor back alleys was difficult feat, I also nearly ran over a kitten as well (traumatising), when I did get there...had the normal chit chat but the guy says we can't send to Australia, we only do India.

I'm like great, I don’t want to send to India, but at least come over for simple packaging, he accepted!

I drove him home, he inspected the goods, came back to the office and said I will call you tomorrow at 10am for a quotation...Guys and he did call exactly at 10am (so he gained 1 point)

He quoted QR250 for packaging only, this included layers of cardboard, bubble wrap and finished off with another layer of cardboard, and held together with hoards of tape.

He mentioned that he will be at my door step between 4pm-4:30pm, and guess what guys; he was there at 4pm (yet another point)

He brought with him another guy to help him, they stayed from 4pm till 9pm and didn't require assistance, they made sure they had enough materials and made sure all corners were well protected.

So here’s the moral of the story, don't go on the name, but on the service and these guys even though are Indians but a different breed altogether who also pay particular attention to detail, punctuality and commitment...so my hats off to them.
