Malls and More Malls in Qatar

Dear All
We have many malls coming up in qatar now , Barwa mall 7 kms long with 2600 shops , Gulf mall 5 kms long and 2000 shops , Retail mall with 1000 +shops,
Ezdan Mall with 1000 +shops , Doha Mall with another 500 +shops and another 10 malls coming up. But where are the people to shops at these big malls coming up ?

I hope they build malls with lots of entertainment in it, not just for shopping. Qatar will be the Mall Capital of the World!!!!
More malls here means cultivating a bad habit in me!I am not really the type of person who hangs out in malls. Except being in coffee shops.When I arrived here a few months back, going to the mall means coming home with a number of shopping bags in my arms. And to think, items here are overpriced.Hayayay!And I just realized that so I would control myself from buying. Hehehe.
More malls less people
More vehicles less roads
More people less accomodations
More rents less salaries
Alumnar - Its quite boring if you ask me and the layout and decoration is so mundane. Nothing seems original.
More malls with bachelor restrictions? More shops selling the same overpriced crap you see repeated in every mall? How interesting - NOT!

Think of the hours of Window Shopping and different Coffee Shops to visit. In addition, you could stick to the Mall nearest to you and not worry about having to drive accross town in searing heat...

someday malls here will be full with tourist, may be they are just preparing for the 2022.. but I'm not sure what will happen after that.

PEOPLE HERE WHO STAYING WITH FAMILY WILL VISITTHESE MALLS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY JUST FOR THETIME PASS LIKE WINDOW SHOPPING BUT THE SHOP OWNERSWILL WORRY A LOT BECAUSE OF THE COMPETITIONIN THIS HOT COUNTRY CAN NOT ROAM OUTSIDE SO THESE MALLS WILL HELP THEM JUST FOR WALKING AND RELAXINGNOT FOR THE BUSINESS PURPOSETHIS IS AS PER MY CONCERN

Malls in Doha are becoming like traditional supermarket just like sidewalk vendor.
