Pathetic staff at Shoe express, Centre point

Recently I purchased 3 pairs of shoes for my kids, but my shopping experience was far from pleasant.
I received a 50 Qr Shukran voucher. To avoid parking woes at malls, I visited Shoe express at the sprawling Centre point store in Barwa village. I wanted to pick up three pairs of shoes for my kids. One of the sales ladies, a Filipino first tried to assist my wife. She was of no help as, my wife practically was helping our kids try on some new pairs. A Nepali salesmen then appeared. He was quite rude. Just as his colleague, he also never possessed any customer service etiquettes. He asked us to quickly try the shoes of our choice. Since one of the shoes didn’t fit our daughter, while we enquired about the next size, we were told, that was what was available there. He has no sense of courteousness. He then moved on to attend to other customers. That's when I lost my cool and wanted to speak to the Store Manager, who saw the conversation and quickly disappeared into oblivion. I will never shop at this store again. Salesmanship is an Art. If someone is doing it out a sheer sense of duty, he’d rather not do it.

Moral - if its free, they treat you cheap!!

Yeah sometimes I am too optimistic for my own good. But seriously though I only hope that the MIA store manager at least addressed the issue later on, once the OP left.

And again I agree that sometimes it's easier to try to excuse away someone's misdeeds rather than having to deal with the possibility that some people are just plain nasty, regardless of how much they are paid.

Fatimah...u are asking too much..."chastised by the sales mgr. and warned not to behave like so again". He, per OP, vanished. But to some extent we ourselves are to be blamed for such their acts. We try to be rather too sympathetic with the same old justification...they are paid less forgetting that whatever it is they are there to do a job too and no one gives them the right to misbehave.

Yeah, rights...I have my own take on it but some other time...:)

The only issue I have with them is the long queue at the paying counter.

my daughter's and my favorite shops. For the most part I have found the staff to be very courteous and patient, even during the sales when everything is all rush rush. Not that I doubt the OP, but I do find the account surprising due to the fact that I have never had any issues with customer care and the attitude of sales staff in this shop. Just hope the discourteous sales staff were at least chastised by the sales mgr. and warned not to behave like so again.

Never visit such showrooms when you see 50% discount, you will end up in such customer service.

And if its on weekends, then you will not even find any sales person near you...:)
