People outside of QDC

Why would QDC make you look "unwanted" when you have the necessary documents and fee to pay for the license?

Selling or not selling the good part is people are not stealing from QDC or breaking into their stores. The funny part is that many people want a licence and are willing to pay for it but they are made to look unwanted at the QDC. I suppose things were not half as bad even during the worst of times during apartheid in south africa

i heard somebody got stopped by QDC security staff last week, as they had bought 4 boxes of whiskey, which they claimed was for personal consumption.

The whiskey was taken off them, their licence taken, and they were told QDC would be advising their company and CEID, as too many people are buying large amounts, which is clear that they are selling on.

Qatarisun...i think it's 30% of the salary...well, that's what i got so not sure if this applies to the rest...

lol. kiwi.. you always can restore the lost card.. QDCLover, you cannot buy "as much as you want".. there is a limit of 10% of your basic salary.. which is why it is required to indicate in NOC your basic salary separately from the allowances.

QDC is the life giver in Qatar, the holiest of holies, the reason to be, the meaning of life, the reason to get out of bed, the thing that is missing in some people's life.

I would rather suffer abacination, Chinese water torture, pitch capping, keel hauling, knee capping, nut boiling, foot roasting, garroting, riding the rail and water boarding before losing my QDC card.

If its illegal its simply illegal... how can it be legal for some and illegal for others (permit or no permit)

I never realized there was a salary bracket in acquiring a liquor license. All i did was give the company letter and form, and QR1000, and they exchange that for an ID with a crappy picture of a guy. But that was years ago...anyway, it is clearly stated on the rules of having the license...you are not to sell, send as gift, or give to anybody, etc...etc...even for a favor, it's easy for me to say no. I would not risk losing my job for that small favor. Not stupid enough!

Still wondering why some can have it while the others cannot or maybe it is that some are more priveleged then the rest. Even south africa was a more bearable place when they practiced apartheid and Johanna would certainly agree to this one

i dont know what the salary requirements are, but maybe it has changed recently, as all the limis were increased at start of 2013

Well they can always brew their own... or trip on other substances....

They must be the guys who want to buy a drink but cant get their hands on a permit to buy some of this drinks as their company wont give them a permit

they would qdc if the company gave them a NOC for liquor permit!

Disgraceful, they should apply for a lience like everyone else and then they can buy as much as they want of the amber nectar.

Just make sure they are not undercover cops. I've heard of that happening in the past.

for buying 'boost' why do u go to QDC ? Its available at any supermarkets like Indian supermarket,FFC or LuLu....:)
