Qtel, New Fraud Scheme

Translator
By Translator

Qtel added another item to their long list of false advertisement history. Nojoom is their reward program, but they do not reward you anything once you collect enough points.

I believe that they have discovered that they over done their reward program, and three days ago they pulled the plug. The website does not allow you to redeem points, nor using the phone to do so.

Upon calling them repeatedly, they pull their defense shields once you tell the word NOJOOM, as they know they did something wrong. Their answer was this is an added service at no cost and it can be changed without warning.

Nojoom website works. Thanks to this post i logged in and realised that 3,500 points were due to expire (i didn't know they expired) - redeemed it for a QAR 75 centerpoint voucher. Super!!!

The important part is this:

"Their answer was this is an added service at no cost and it can be changed without warning"

It sounded to me as an official line that Qtel told their customer service staff to repeat over and over to Nojoom members

The Nojoom website seems to be working now. Typical QL over-reaction. Why isn't there any criticism of the Centrepoint Shukran rewards program, whose website has been 'under maintenance' for nearly two months?

To be honest , I have enjoyed nojoom points so many times. I have got cinema tickets in Villagio , top ups in Hala accounts and discount in flower shops etc.

Sick and tired of people/Co's giving free schemes and then taking it back without prior notice. I knew this girl who was handing out "love" coupons and when i went to redeem it, she said it was expired!!!!!!

the Nojoom-QNB credit card "to collect points" to be redeemed by any option available.

I guess now QNB is next to pull the plug then (just a guess!!)

Regards!!

They also have a problem that you can sign up to it online, but have no way to opt out using the same.
