Quran Question

Curious ...

Can someone tell me if it mentions in the Quran somewhere;
Thou shalt close thine restaurant doors at prayer time and not allow thy potential customer entry, but instead leave him sat on the doorstep for 30 minutes in the searing heat to wither away ... but only in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?

For this is what just happened to me last night.

Yours,
Hungry and annoyed of Al Khobar.

To those of you that answered truthfully, thoughtfully, and without bias or reservation, Thank You!

To those who think I'm an infidel, I have lived in the middle east quite happily for 18 years, I know and understand most of what Islam is about, though I will never be swayed that way. It's just a simple question of why Islam is followed in different ways in different countries.

And for info, I took my Saudi resident friends out to dinner last night and arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes BEFORE prayer :o)

In our whole life we have to give only 5 months to Allah in the name of namaz, see the simple calculation below. From Allah(S.A.W) There is no excuse for namaz. In Azaan when we hear Hayalasslaah(Come from prayers), Hayalalfalah(Come for success) one should run for his success by peforming namaz. There is no other discussion on how much time you are spending and whome you are making wait for a service from you.

A Life Perspective

If Allah was to grant us 70 years of our life...

We would spend:

24 years sleeping

14 years working

8 years in amusement

6 years at the dinner table

5 years in transportation

4 years in conversation

3 years in education

3 years reading

3 years watching television

-

If we prayed 5 Times every day,

We would be giving ALLAH 5 months of our life.

Can't we give 5 months out of 70 years?

Let's all give ALLAH a minimum of

5 months of our lives!

Calculate n Think about it !

for all those people who started to bash baldrick ..

Our Prophet "Mohamed" PBUH Said to Omar Ibn el Khatab ... "Do not be rude or stony-hearted or they will go far away from you"

If you want to discuss Islam with someone you should be nice .. this is what our REAL Islam told us how to deal with people ..

Or else he/she/they will take a bad impression about muslims and ISLAM ..

To BaldRick It was clearly mentioned in our Religion that whenever there is a prayer we should leave our life ALL of it behind and rush for it as the prayer is considered to be a call from God .. as if God is inviting you to his home .. so every real muslim will go ..

I'm sorry for what happened to u .. but the islam doesn't mean any offense to those who r not muslim .. it expect them to understand our religion and just make little adjust to ur life wherever u go ...

When we go to another country we follow their rules .. not ours .. right?? so know the rules & regulations within the country u live in and try to cope with it ..

hope i make it clear without any offense to ANYBODY ..

Just to let you know, closing during prayer time has nothing to do with your hunger.I believe your soul is more hungry than body. Be careful in saying those words. Don't ever ever include The HOLY Q'URAN in your worldly desire.

ghazalz is right for friday prayer,

just to add more, its doesnt mean that saudi is doing something wrong for every days prayers. if you can afford to shut your business for 30 minutes and give preference to Prayer that is much better than pray at your own conveience. its very clear that your are giving preference to prayer than anything else which is great in the eyes of Allah.

however all other muslim countries are all also right for not enforcing to shut their business. Let them prayer at your own time, but the point is

WE MUST HAVE TO PRAY

you must know the fact that Every DADY is different.

Thanks for clearing your intentions...

Quran says to close your all business for Jumma (Friday noon) prayer only because it's a special day for us. In KSA they close it for all prayers and it's on their own.

Oh,Come on. Don't bash me, I was asking a perfectly simple question. Whether the Quran states you should close for prayer or not?

UAE, Oman, Qatar & Kuwait all stay open but not Saudi. I wanted to know if it was written they should close and every other country goes against it, or if it doesn't and Saudi are just making their own rules?

Why must you all get on your high horses when a non-muslim askes a reasonable question about the Quran?

BTW, the annoyed bit was because those ALREADY INSIDE were allowed to carry on eating, but new customers are not!

WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT THE ISLAMIC RELIGION IT MUST BE RESPECTFULL IN CHOOSING YOUR WORDS , YOU WORK AT ISLAMIC COUNTRY ,WE ARE THE BEST PEOPLE DEALING WITH OTHERS , AND WE RESPECT ALL RELIGIONS CAUSE BELIEVE IN CHRISIAN AND JEWISH SO DONT MENTION ANY RELATION BETWEEN THE RELIGION AND THE WAY OF PEOPLE TREATMENT.

It's not a Quran Question, It's their suitability of timings!!

Curious ...Hungry and annoyed of Al Khobr baldrick2dogs! Why did you ask that if it's mentioned in Quran?

Quran does not teach us any type of mistreatment to people...If a Christian or a Hindu does anything wrong, what do you think that it is just because of their holy books?

no! not mentioned but in KSA they have their own religion and they call it islam as well :)

Yes, yes it does. If you are not praying, then you are obviously a disbeliever, and therefore your needs are not a priority because you are inferior, and you should probably be slain on the spot. You should be thankful that you are even allowed to dine in their establishment.
