Andrew11121 is right...there are huts of some sort near the Immigration at Madinat Khalifa known as Souq Al Ahli. You go towards KFC and take the road that will lead you behind it...
Another area is the Souq Asiri where the mosque is. There are shoe repair guys in front of the mosque that would do repairs for you while you wait.
I also know that there is one in City Centre (ground floor)just below Carrefour. That shop also do key duplications as well.
Let me think of other areas as well. Might help if you could tell which area you live so we could direct you to the nearest one.
I remember the ordeal it was to buy a new pair of shoe laces here - it was staggering to think that Lulu, Carrefoure, ShoeMart, Family Food Centre (the list goes on) all sold shoes, polishes, brushes etc, but no freakin laces. I was close to just buying new shoes, taking the laces and throwing them away.
Anyway, in the end I went to the Souq behind immigration roundabout and there are lots of little cobblers in little huts out the back who sold lcaes. And, now that I've finally made it to the point, they also mend shoes. I'm not sure that they get a lot of opportunity to work on 6" Manolo Blahniks, but if you don't get a better suggestion I think it would be worth a try.

d best place to get ur shoe repaired is at the hot bread's bakery near gulf cinema.
der r 2 guys who sit on d pavement right beside Al Fardan exchange.
if u think, it aint possible der, d next place is to take it to the same place u bought it from if it's in doha.
If not, take it to a shop where u think u can buy the same kinda shoes and ask them to get it repaired for ya.
if still no luck, tuff luck is all i can say.
cheers

they don't do high heels but does anyone know if the "sandal repairers" that use tyres to re-tread still operate near the mosque in the souq?
They always used to make me laugh as you could get Michellin, goodyear, bridgestone or any other make that they had in stock.
I think there's a place in the entrance to the City Center.
Perhaps in a country of sandals and flip flops, and people who dont do much exercise there isnt much need for laces!
Thanks, will give that a shot
