Shopping at Doha International Airport

Hello all,

I'll be flying to Italy via Qatar on 1st October 2009.
I have a 7 hour stop over at the Doha International Airport so I'm thinking of buying a new Mobile Phone and maybe a few other small electronics in the Airport's Duty Free Shops..

Would like to know how good the range is and recommendation on what would be a good phone under QR1000?
I need the phone for business needs (email, internet, GPS).

Also how much average crowd is there in the airport on Thursdays? Any good suggestions on what to do in the airport for this long (apart from sleeping)?

PS: I already have searched on this site and have looked over a lot of threads but couldn't find a complete answer :)

Thanks!

Just go upstairs from the duty free area. when you walk off the steps turn to 11 oclock and walk in that direction. its the room infront of you but door on the left hand side,

Hey sounds good! What's the name of the service? (there are multiple I guess).

We are vegetarians so no alcohol, smoking etc. here :)

Did you happen to find anything veg there?

Thanks again!

Hey,

Thanks for the response!

Sadly Qatar Airways has a minimum of 8 hours before this service comes in :(
