I will try them next time. I used Century, just a few doors down from Sterling, and have been disappointed. The collar did not survive even a single trip to the laundry.
There's a tailor in Shara Kharaba... maybe the same one as Joan mentioned. He's located opposite the Bombay silk centre...if memory serves me right. He specializes in gents clothing.
I've have gone to a guy near the computer souk/Rayyan Rd area. He's charging QR85 for a pure cotton shirt. Not much choice of materials though, unless you want poly-cotton. Will report back in 10 days (!!!) when it will be ready.
My husband had his shirts made at one tailor located at the Electricity street (Shara Al Kharaba). Their measurements were good but quality of workmanship isn't brilliant.

My husband has used Sterling Tailors and been very happy.
The one I was talking about does suits, tuxedos. They sell the suit material too.
Do any of these tailors tailor 2-piece suits? I'm in need of a good quality suit.

Hi Grantley,
QR85 is quite a bargain. Do you find the shirts he makes in good quality?

I'm willing to pay a little extra for good workmanship. Who does good workmanship?
What would be a typical cost to have a shirt made (I know it depends on material)?

Do these hand-made tailors do a good job? I've often wondered if they do as good as off-the-shelf shirts.
