DOHA Pakistan’s Test cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi will inaugurate the new showroom of Today’s Fashion located at Airport Road on Thursday.
“It is a great honour for us that Pakistan’s cricket hero Shahid Afridi has consented to be our chief guest on the occasion,” said Managing Director Mohammad Israr.
Israr said that for the first time Pakistan’s major style brands will showcase their creations in the showroom. The brands include Junaid Jamshed, Maria B, Boots, Bonanza, Uniworth, Stylo, Nishat, Al Karam, Breeze and Afridi’s women brand Widyan (which means ‘Fashion Valley’ in Arabic).
Israr, who is also managing director of Al Anis Trading Company which deals in rental of light and heavy machinery and construction equipment, said that besides textile, footwear and garment, tailoring material will also be available in the 1,800 square metre showroom.
Israr’s father, Malazai Arshullah entered into textile business in 70’s.
“We opened our first showroom with the name Fashion Textiles in late 80’s in the area now merged with Souq Waqif. We later moved to Souq Najada in 2006,” said Israr.
Another outlet of Today’s Fashion was inaugurated at Al Ruwaidat Street in Maither area in June 2012.
Have been there on Thursday (6th June) was too much crowded, so didnt go inside and instead went to Red TAG.
Friday, was there but it was Closed- dunno why ? :(
As Strom mentioned above, its gonna reopen on june 8- so tat meanns this time Imran Khan is going to come for innaguration ? :)
i have been there yesterday night , it was closed . A notice saying it will be opened on june 8 thats today :-)

As per Gulf times, reception on June 5th which is Wednesday and Qatar Tribune says Thursday which is June 6th. so which one is correct? Well, since Today's fashion is right across from my office, I can see this huge poster hanging on the side which says June 6th. Hence, this should be the correct date :)
Will surely head over to the store, but after all the fuss dies down, at least a little. Shopping in crowded stores is really not my idea of retail therapy!

Wow...sounds cool...saw the ad in todays GT or was it QT...anyways, didnt know the story behind. BTW out of the brands Junaid Jamshed, Maria B, Boots, Bonanza, Uniworth, Stylo, Nishat, Al Karam, Breeze which ones are of Pakistan and any of them for men and then what styles...normal pant, shirt, T Shirt, Jeans kind of stuff or just pathani suits...:)
