It also empowered woman financially as they could have a job that fit around their children's schedules...ie many of the parties are held as a type of coffee morning or in the evening.

Cornellian, I think that is how Tupperware sells their product in the main part. Someone hosts a party in their home and a Tupperware sales agent comes and shows the products and perhaps does a demonstration. based on the sales that night the hostess receives a gift of Tupperware or a discount or some such thing. I think Tupperware is a multi-million dollar operation.

I don't think Tupperware is sold in the shops here. I get mine shipped over from the States.

Oryx habibti...you are obviously not an owner of the mighty Tupperware container. Us Tupperware lovers are are a breed of our own!!! Most other plastic containers just don't cut it...

One of the malls (think it's city center, but can't remember) has or had within the last year a kiosk in the middle that had the real Tupperware brand items. If I see it again in the next week or so I will post. In the meantime, look in the phone book, call the office of each of the malls and ask. Good luck. I usually go to FFC near the airport--they have good plastic containers and I also saw this week that the Megamart in Landmark has good plastic containers as well. Not tupperware brand though.

just bring some with u, u maybe can find any plastic containers here but i am sure whether there are food grade or not. u can find 'sterelite' at FFC near airport which it usually found at ace hardware (jakarta) too.

nah I am not pissed off just thought it was a daft question.

You can get plastic containers just about anywhere on earth.... one of my favourites I bought comes from vilanculous market in Mozambique it cost me 10,000 metecais and it was made in Beira. Its green and when I am travelling I used it to get fed down the market and here I use it for my sandwiches. We have been places together...

Accept for Qatar where we wrap our left over raw camel meat in palm leaves.

Alrite :( If you insist I'll stick to what I'm doing. But we could have done that without the video surveillance you know! :P

Event thing is going good. Can't do too many shows in Qatar, market isn't big enough yet to absorb one or more than one show in a month. Moreover, working and doing something else doesn't really help.

Anyhow, that was for hobbysake not financial really. Gives you immense pleasure to see people getting entertained cos of you. Guess it also helps the much deprieved Indian expats with some live form of entertainment.

rofl ha ha ha...that's the chance you take when you have a fleet of servants at your beck and call.

Good point, may have to schedule in time to shell my own pumpkin seeds from now on...unless you're looking to earn some extra money...I could have you do that under video surveillance...

You bet!

Pumpkin seeds are indeed tricky. You wouldn't obviously consider eating after one of your maids has peeled them thru her mouth.

I wouldn't know what happens to the peels as they are peeled before they get to me of course.

Pumpkin seeds are tricky...I wouldn't dream of actually shelling them myself...far too busy being very important and bossing people around...

What do you do with the peels? Darude loves them apparently.

And what about the pumpkin seeds? Do you get them peeled too?

Aww c'mon don't bluff us Diamond Girl! Am sure you don't even have to look at the utensils at home let alone using them. You probably have enough maids running around you taking care all your needs at a slight sign of strain!

I thought Tupperware was only sold through Tupperware parties I have never seen it sold in the shops.

Tupperware used to be one of the best, don't know about nowadays.

Hmm Timbo, Biokips...where can you buy that? BTW, Tupperware rocks...I have lots of it in the house. Ooh, my Mother would be proud of me defending her beloved Tupperware!!!_______________________________________________________

Who do you suppose to mean? If me, what’s wrong by asking that kind of question?

I think this forum is for people sharing information, especially for new comers.
