I am coming over soon with a six month old baby. I am limited in what I can bring. What in hindsight would you have brought with you? is there anything difficult to get here? What is really expensive in compaarison to UK ? Your guidance would be appreciated.

You can get everything here that you can in the UK - just different brands to what we're used to. The one thing that I'm finding expensive is good quality baby clothes that fit properly. Most decent baby clothes are from places such as BHS, Marks & Spencers, Mothercare, Mamas & Papas etc.

Mothercare is pretty much the same here as it is in the UK but some things are expensive. A pack of 3 babygrows will set you back QR120 (over £20). There's a massive selection of tops and bottoms and shoes etc but decent baby vests and babygrows are the biggest problem!

I had my 9 month old over here and so far I haven't found anything that I can't get other then cheap baby clothes. The rate they grow out of them I'd love someone to bring Primark over!!

As far as buggys go - the babyshop has without a doubt the biggest selection - it's quite overwhelming!! We got our chicco complete travel system from there and there were loads to choose from.

Pitstop thank you for your response. To the other respondent I will treat your answer with the contempt it deserves. By answering in this condescending manner, you have clearly demonstrated your complete ignorance of human interaction and communication skills. The forum is here for Newcomers like me to ask pertinent questions and gain from the experience of others. Your comments are rude and unhelpful.

my sister is having a hard time finding a stroller. If you can bring it with you - you'll be fine.
