Don't know if it will ever come, but if you go to Dubai, order it then go to home delivery with a map of where you live a copy of your ID they can get Aramex to deliver it to your door, not cheap but when added to the cost of furniture you actually want, I think it worked out cheaper than buying it here, only downside is you can't reserve of check stock online and if they haven't got it you have to keep going back. Takes about a week to 10 days.

Never, Stores like IKEA and ACE Hardware are probably the reason for a weekend trip to Dubai.

O what joy there would be if the rumors finally came true. IKEA has been rumored to be coming here for years - i've searched on the web and only have found that the project is dead. My suspicion is that the local stores would lose most of their business if it came so there probably is lots of pressure on locals not to sponsor or become involved in bringing it here.

The only way to get that great furniture is to go to Dubai and have it shipped here. Probably save enough on the furniture to pay for the trip and shipping, plus the joy of having real furniture in your villa is priceless.
