Does anyone know where I can buy a lead block (99.99% Pb, lead)? I need a block close to the following dimensions: 100mm long x 100mm wide x 20mm thick
Molten: I love my hobbies, for which I need supplies. One of my hobbies is leatherwork. For a long time, I've been trying to figure out a way to install a brass lock to a leather briefcase using brass escutcheon pins that need to be peened. All of the methods I have tried so far are unsatisfactory. The one method I have not tried is using a lead block for support underneath the brass lock. This will provide a solid backing allowing me to peen the escutcheon pin without damaging the face of the brass lock.
One block of the size I need (100mm x 100mm x 20mm) is about 2kg. I can get it in China, but, Molten, you have told to stop importing from China ("leave it"), so now I need to try to find a source locally.
Accha, Have you bought it from them before or just kicking the air ..................... ? It is your idle time , yes, that way it is okay , yes .................................
