Learn the basics of photography, for example use of rule of third or diagonals, etc...
Then go for any pro-consumer camera and afterwards to professional one..
you need to spend sometime checking out different types, check out stores like Salem, Foto Gulf, Carrefour, LuLu or if you want a second hand one check out on here or King's Camera. Myself, I use a Canon and I recommend it to everyone but it might not be the camera you will end up liking.Check out different types and get a feel for what is comfortable to you, you are the one who has to use it hopefully for a long and enjoyable time.

I have had 3 of these cameras now over a 10 year period and i still have all 3 and use all 3. I gave 1 to my wife and the oldest camera to my son.
They are point-and-shoot, have a flip-screen LCD display, and have several models to choose from. Photo quality is very good in the newer models.
I recommend getting the highest optical zoom you can in any digital camera (12X is very good) because the picture quality is better.
