Can you offer a review of the Elite International School?

My son is on the waiting list at the American International school but I am not very hopeful that he would get in this year.
I have been aware of the Elite school but I have been reluctunt to approach this school as it is a new school, as in my view all new school lack experience.
Having said this, I haven't got the best expereince with the Canadian school here and feel that most other schools would do better then QCS.
What is the student structure in the elite/ Are there enough expat kids, how big are the classrooms? Any info would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

this is the worst school ever they are just bunch of swindlers they accept huge number of applications and they refuse almost 80% of them because they save all the places for their relatives and friends and what they say don't meet the expectations and they actually don't know what are the expectations i would like to say that you shouldn't go for this school ever for the sake of your children

Guys,

EXPAT1948 is 100% absouletly right. After 1 year, I have had enough of this school. I am definetly pulling out my son. teachers are resigning in the mid of the term and suddenly 2 sections are joined together. The Science teacher doesnt know a thing but tells students to read and read as their homework. lessons are so behind and the School admin are full of crap.

This is an american curriculum school who doesnt provide one.

Alhtough I don't know who you are and what is your problem with the school exactly, but any parent who comes to school has a chance to see the school, check the classrooms, facilities, go through the books students use, get familiar with the curriculum, get answers to any questions they have, including information about the teaching staff. So if after all this you took desicion to enroll your children and then for whatever reason felt unhappy that is probably your presonal problem.

Quote (1): "as a parent, I would not recommended E.I.S to any parent who is seeking a quality education for their children"

Answer : Thank you. That's your opinion.

Quote (2): " This school lacks in many ways"

Answer: Can you be more specific?

Quote (3): " The teachers are inexperienced. I don't believe that majority of them are certified to teach"

Answer: What is your education? Could you give me your working history? Then it will be possible to judge if you are able to understand the level of teachers or not

Qoute (4) "The classrooms are very small"

Answer: do you relate classroom size to education?

Qoute (5) "They do not even provide tables and chairs for children to have lunch (children sit on the ground)"

Answer: children are provided with options what they choose to use when taking lunch is up to them, school cares that children have a change of positions having vast area to take their freedom in choosing the place where they feel comfortable to accomodate themselves with their lunch boxes, having full rest from the same position taken during the classes.

Qoute (6): "the majority of students do not speak english"

Answer: Shame on you. This is an international school which means having children of different nationalities. Or is it their falt that they happen to be of non-english speaking origins, should they be denied international education?

Qoute (7): " It does not have a curiculum to speak of"

Answer: Before enrolling your children you made sure there was a curriculum you needed and you were satisfied with it.

Qoute (8): " The children are not taught to develop their creative writing skills or any educational skill for that matter"

Answer: Defenetly your children didn't spend more then few days at school if you were not aware that we do have creative writing.

Qoute (9): "They have many rules which they do not comply with"

Answer: giving such statements be specific

Qoute (10): "the posts stating positive reviews about E.I.S. are employed by the school"

Answer: those who are employed in the school and have their children there are not fools to keep their children in the place which doesn't provide proper education to their children.

Please, do not be fooled, the posts stating positive reviews about E.I.S. are employed by the school. This school provides children with a "Sponge Bob" education and nothing more.

As a parent, I would not recommeded E.I.S. to any parent who is seeking a quality education for their children. This school lacks in many ways. The teachers are inexperienced (I don't believe the majority of them are certified to teach. The classrooms are very small. They lack the resources need to teach. They do not even provide tables and chairs for children to have lunch (children sit on the ground). The majority of the students do not speak english. It does not have a curriculum to speak of. The children are not taught to develop their creative writing skills or any educational skill for that matter. The day is spent reading from their text books and copying math and grammar rules from the board. They have many rules which they do not comply with. Your children would benefit more being home schooled until you are able to find them a place at one of the well known schools in Doha. This school is doing a disservice to the children who are enrolled. They are not receiving the education they need and deserve to prepare them for a higher education later in life. Save your time and money. Anyone stating that E.I.S is a wonderful school with a quality education is clearly fooling you or has not had the experience of sending their children to a school were children and education come first. This is another money making institution. Don't be fooled by the "fluff" you read on their web site, I assure you it is all deception and lies.

Hi there,

Excellent school. I've got my son there, grade 5. No regrets.

They follow american curriculum for native speakers(not adjusted to MIddle East thing). Superb books! I feel there will be no problems when we move back to US.Go and have a look at the school and register.

Hi,

I am happy parent of Elite International School, I have 3 children studying there, grade 4 and two in grade 1. I Can Vouch that even though it is in the inception year, however the quality of teaching is par excellent. My children have shown tremendous academic progress. They do provide differentiated learning and the individual attention provided to the children have made them very independent and confident. They also have regular cultural events and educational trips that my children really look forward to. All staff starting from security to the Managing Director are caring and friendly. It is the best school I've ever seen in my life and will never think to change it to anything else. I love this school.

Staff and students are all multicultural, but all work wonderfuly together, my children don't feel different among children - all treated the same. Trully amazing place!

I would highly recommend it to any parent that is looking for a good school
