Many articles were writen in today's newspapers about a new school here in Doha named "Elite International School."

However, they all failed to mention how to contact the school.

Anyone have any contact info ?

Actually, EIS is not international school (the most students are Araps) and there are no native english teachers (most are Indians). It is a very small school with poor equipment. You will not be satisfied. Take care. The stuff is uneducated (most of them have no diploma, just try to check out).

I was suprised when I have visited the school and see the quality of the structures and well organised classes to realise that there are still a few places for academic year 2010-2011.

To avoid any disappointment I suggest you visit the school and see for yourself.

Due to the school being new, it is still in the application process for accreditation. I have no idea when they will get fully accreditated. I just registered my daughter there for first grade.

When I went to the school I was surprised to find an American administrator who helped me through the process of registering and all sectaries and office personnel spoke English beautifully. When I left another mom was coming in with her children (first and sixth grade) and I was pleased to see another American enroll (my daughter was thrilled to have another girl to play with).

If you have any questions, call the number. Hope this helps!

Red Flag

I read the article as well. What jumped out at me was that over and over they said that they were to follow American curriculum, BUT they never stated that they were accredited. Be sure to ask.

I went to the school this afternoon. It looks O.K. American curriculum. We took an application. We have to decide soon. The problem with new schools is that you don't know whether they'll provide what promised or not?
