Help on Excel 2007

I have a large file in excel 2007 linked to another file with functions VLOOKUP and SUMIF. When I open the file the VLOOKUP functions work, but SUMIF function gives result #VALUE!. If I open the source file then the function works properly.

Can anyone tell me what could be the reason? I checked the same file in another computer it works properly.

Under Formulas there is an option Error Checking, try using it, has sorted lot of problems for me.

check the excel options menu (tools/options).
