Nursery
All moms, is it normal of nursery's teacher and the assistant scream to children (about 3 years old) and put them in the bathroom if the kid doesn't obey? It seems that the teacher and assistant couldn't handle the children. Also, there are too many children in the class. What is the ideal children in one class ? I have 3 years old twins and bit scared with this when I was with my friend to pick up her kids at nursery. Is it better to take nanny at home ? Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for all the answers. The teachers and assistants said because the children most of the time are not listening and obeying that's why they have to yelled at the children so they will listen. I understand that some children are not easy to sit still and listen (they are 2 and 3 years), but I disagree that preschool children should be treated like that. What happened at home after? I think I will take nanny at home so I can monitor my twins better.
that's terrible...which nursery is this?
Beware!!! Good teachers knows very well how to handle kids, that's their field of study. Case like that, its not normal anymore, they are not qualified teachers. Kids might traumatized. You should complain to the management or else don't continue with them, look for another Nursery.
This is absolutely NOT normal and it borders on child abuse. No one locks a child in a bathroom nor yells at them in a nursery environment. A nursery is meant to be a comfortable and nurturing environment for a child.
Contact the police. Alternatively, you can ask for the manager/owner and state what you have seen and that you will look to seek a complaint with the municipality.
This is absolutely WRONG!
Its not normal. Ask then how would they feel if you yell at them and lock them in a bathroom.
You must complain this kind of a behavior to the police immediately.
Of course that's not normal. What is the name of the nursery?
About amount of kids - it depends on the size of the classroom
