Hello Doha-ites! Same old Dubai to Doha story! We are moving by end Aug, and are wondering if there are O level schools in the fee bracket of QAR 10-15k. Also, if you could help with when are the O level schools opening after Summer vacations? Thanks

scuba, i guess you mean GCSE as o 'levels went out years ago! You will find IGCSE(international GCSE) are very close to the U.K exams and are accepted qualifacations all over the world. This is a two year programme as is in the U.k, prices for this per year are a minimum 35,000 qatar riyals . Be carefull there are very few schools who are upto this job, so ask questions before you commit, you will have problems as school places in the british curriculum schools are on wait lists as there full! check out the data base here for the appropriate schools but also schools here are closing down for the summer and the office/admin side wont open up again till end of August.Terms begin again Sept 1st.

good luck x

Schools

look at the bottom right hand side of your screen. under the Guide to Qatar section is a tab that says Qatar Schools database. Start from there. Unfortunately you have a late start and it will be hard to find a spot at this late point. Just try to get on as many waiting lists as possible and hope for the best. Good luck.
