Teaching positions in Doha?
Hi everyone,
My family and I will be moving to Doha in a few weeks, when my husband's contract starts. I am also hoping to find some sort of employment. I have a Master's degree in humanities, and here in Canada I have taught courses in comparative religion and religion and politics. Having spent plenty of time in the Mid-East, I am aware that these are not exactly teachable in Qatar.
How likely is it to find employment as a lecturer in the area of humanities (i.e. history) at a college, considering that they won't have to pay me for relocation, etc.? Alternatively, how likely is one to be able to teach English, and is one of those TESL certificates a requirement for those positions? I appreciate the help, thanks in advance :)
Check language Institutes, Schools and Universities... yes you do have a good change go get a job over here (and well paid too) bring ur degree cert. and any other diplomas, awards, etc if you have any "it will help you lots to get a high salary package and benefits"
There lots of teaching positions here in Qatar.
Now, google all the schools or universities in Qatar and see the vacancies, you can apply tru their websites. By the time you get here, who knows, YOU ARE ALREADY HIRED.
