I totally agree any schools first priority is the safety of each child apart from that, at this peak summer a child is leaving home by 6.15 am and returns by 3.00pm what is left in the child in this weather. If the classes gets over by 1 or 2 hours earlier in what way will it effect a child daily education.
Secondly many childrens are into extra curricular activitys after the school hours , I mean they will definitely be in a comfort zone along with their daily studys which they have to do after returning from school.

I'd be more concerned with the responsibility of the school's management and staff in ensuring the safety of their students in all aspects rather than the timing..
