Simple rules and ethics of bowling
For all participants of the 1st FilEx Bowling tournament, here are some rules and basic ethics of playing the games. This is to enjoy the fun games but not to offend neighboring lanes at QBC.
1. Make sure that everybody is wearing bowling shoes (whether personal or the one issued by the club. Do not step on the alley if you are not wearing these shoes. Do not go to the toilet with these shoes also.
2. Respect the left player rule. This applies to everybody so as not to distract the player next to you. The immediate player on you left should be given the right to throw the ball first. If the player is in the alley (wood portion), the right player step back and wait 'til the left player throws the ball. Then the right player can go up the alley and make his turn to throw.
In some instance, it is just respect to your immediate side players (left and right). If the left or right player enters the alley ahead of you, then let him throw the ball and just after, you can enter the alley and make your turn.
Never throw you ball at the same time with another player beside you (left or right). This is a basic bowling ethic followed by everybody.
3. In QBC, they do not allow you to put powder in your shoes as it will make the lanes very slippery. You can only use powder in your hands.
4. If you will walk from one lane to another, walk in the concrete area and not in the alley area as it will distract other players.
5. Heckling and booing is allowed but we should also respect (not to distract or irritate) the other players in other lanes.
LET US MAKE THIS TOURNEY AN ENJOYABLE ACTIVITY THAT EVERYONE WILL REMEMBER BUT WE SHOULD ALSO LEAVE A "GOOD" IMPRESSION TO QBC MANAGEMENT TO LET US HAVE THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY ON A REGULAR BASIS.
