Thunderstorms forecast for today

Qatar is expected to receive reasonably good rains today, the Met Department has forecast. A weather official said the rains, most likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms, were expected to continue until the evening. The department attributed the conditions to the synchronisation of a cold air mass in the upper atmosphere and warm humid surface air mass.Temperatures are expected to fall to around 17C.
