MANILA, Philippines - Upang higit na mamonitor ng PAGASA ang mga bagyong dumarating sa bansa, maglalaan ng pondo ang South Korean government sa ahensiya para makabili ng early warning system na tutulong na magbigay ng impormasyon sa ahensiya kapag may kalamidad.
Ayon kay PAGASA Director Prisco Nilo, may halagang $3-milyon ang proyekto na lalagay sa Pasig-Marikina river basin.

Ang Pasig City at Mari¬kina City ang higit na naapektuhan ng bagyong Ondoy kaya prayoridad itong maunang benepisyuhan ng proyekto sa Metro Manila.
Ang proyekto ay kakapalooban ng flood forecasting, early warning systems at emergency response.
